Stamped on the back of the base "Charles made in France" with a three light fitting which has been re-wired with new fittings and antique gold cord flex and switch and pat tested. This lamp was designed by Jaques Charles in the early 1960's, when Emile-Albert Charles and his two sons, Jean and Jacques, develop the "Charles style," a blend of classicism, precision, and contemporary touches that represented a new approach to lighting and decor.
